So, today is the day I announce my free Brow Giveaway Contest Winner (@ 8pm tonight)! ...and that kind of inspired this blog. Lol. I also saw a meme posted by someone who’s business I’ve admired for a while now. It said, “They’re not mad at you; they are mad IT’S YOU!” I took that to mean a few things, one being they’re mad it’s you and NOT THEM…but it also reminded me of a post Cardi B made a little while ago saying something similar. She commented on people questioning “why her? Why did she “make it?” She also admitted that she doesn’t really know why but also gave herself credit for her hard work. And THAT THERE IS IT...
Sure there are millions of people who work hard. And yes, some people have more of a head start, more money, more resources, more connections, more opportunity, etc etc. But in all fairness...there is NO FAIRNESS. Some people were born with certain advantages. There’s always going to be someone smarter, cooler, funnier and prettier. But SO WHAT!! If there’s something you want you have to go for it. {Get it or die trying} My mother always said, “anything that’s worth having is worth working hard for.” And that’s just what it is. If being successful was easy, everyone would be successful. You have to decide which side of the line you’re gonna be on. And most importantly STOP the comparisons. Giving too much energy to what someone else has or what they’re doing is ultimately taking away from what YOU NEED TO BE DOING FOR YOURSELF. Be inspired by them, not envious. Anddddd, let’s not forget, we see each other’s highlight reel. We’re all showing the best parts of our life’s movie. And sometimes it’s not even about “flexing.” People have the right to share whatever they choose. It’s not your right or your business to decide what they get to tell you. Just like your business is your business, theirs is theirs.
We ultimately have no idea what price people have paid for their successes, what failures they’ve had, pains they’ve suffered or races they LOST. Everybody falls down, those of us who get up are the winners. YOU ARE A WINNER. If you’re still standing, still breathing, you’ve overcome some shit, and you still have time to do that thing! You’re scared? We’re all scared! (or were at one point or another) Do it anyway. Leave those “regrets” in the past. I used quotation marks because I don’t really believe in regrets. Hopefully you learned something from the ‘L’ you took. If you can flip it into a win, where’s the regret? Would you have gotten that lesson without the mistake? And try to stop asking, “Why me?” Ummmm. WHY NOT YOU?! Why did both of my parents die? Why’d I get into that bad car accident? Why’d they burglarize my house? Why’d he break my heart? WHY NOT ME!? I’m not exempt from life’s tribulations. No one gets out of this thing (called life) tragedy free. The best version of you is going to cost! You will pay for it one way or another.
So let’s try leaving “Why me?” behind. Ask yourself WHY CAN’T IT BE ME? ...both the good AND the bad can and will likely be you from time to time. Don’t ask “why them?” either. It was their time. It was their turn to WIN. And that has nothing to do with you. Don’t be resentful of someone else’s accomplishment. Don’t be mad at them or mad that it’s their turn. Be encouraged. It’s not about anyone else. WHY NOT ME??? Meet the universe halfway to whatever it is that you’re asking for. It could very easily be you too if you spend the time and energy working toward YOUR MOMENT and YOUR WIN!
...speaking of wins though...BROW CONTEST WINNER will be announced tonight at 8pm! And don’t worry, I have many more giveaways up my sleeve, you could be NEXT UP FOR A WIN!!! 😬☺️😌😉
Thanks for reading! Love y’all!
